Me and The Quest to Make A Difference
Hello and Welcome to my Blog.
My name is Harmit Singh Kamboe. I am not a practising Sikh but that has not stopped me from making Sikhism a part of my existence with respect to how I see things. Sikhism to me means putting human values of my faith into action.
I am a married man, 38 years of age (born 1967) that was until a few years ago quite content with the material side of life. I had however this gnawing feeling that something was missing, that I was some how purposeless and that is when I actively started to look around to be a part of a cause or a movement. It sounds like a typical cliche, but I wanted to make a difference. So I started to look around for a Sikh Charity in Canada (where I live now) .
In my initial search I was extremely dejected with the total lack of Sikh charities on the web. Time after time all I could find was out dated content and nothing much. All the Indian NGO sites that I came across had little or no projects that were being undertaken targeted at Punjab or Delhi or the Sikh community.
But as I got better at searching on the web, the tide changed. I began to come across a very small group of charities that are doing stellar work for the Sikh in India.
